3 months ago FakkelBrigade Green was formed. At the time I gave them 4 weeks, which is the average lifespan of an ‘FB2′ team. Surprisingly, they’re doing quite well in division 4E, holding 2nd place at the moment. Could this be the first, stable new FB team?

There’s a bit of a controversy around a recent ban on ETF2L on some div 7 shitnerd called ex.quad. According to gryzor, the whole thing was a setup by him, to show the ETF2L AC admins will ban someone who is not cheating. It’s interesting to see how the ETF2L is going to explain this mess, but will see it soon I guess.

For some weird reason, gryzor got banned from ETF2L for this little stunt, which has made him quite pissed, luckily, he’s got friends in high places.

Robin Walker (the Valve guy) has been around quite a bit since the old QWTF days (Anti-Cheat in the TF-server itself was implemented in ETFL (the first league, you know — THE ONE I STARTED)) and I’ve had sporadic e-mail conversations about the good old days and things TF2 on and off. I think, unless D2M makes things right really soon, that’s the path I will have to go to try and rectify this situation. I can’t watch Valves good name and poor Robin getting dragged down in this pile of crap due to pure and sheer mismanagement, incompetence, panic-actions and other childish shit over an article. I really didn’t want to take this path, since prizes for people could get jeopardized, but after this, I see no other choice but to take firm and concrete actions. It is your own inability to manage the situation in a proper manner that brought this one on you.

Sorry about the mixup the other day with the ESH cup. We would have liked to play a proper match against you, but unfortunately you didn’t have a team.

To clear up any misunderstandings, you can read our logfiles here. They’re partly in Dutch (sorry, again!).

Network issues at our hoster

Our hoster is having some issues with their network, so that’s why yesterday and today there was quite some lag and packet loss at times. We’re in contact with them to get this resolved asap.

Upcoming maintenance

Thanks to a failing hard drive we’ll be forced to do some emergency maintenance real soon. Expect downtime this week.

Also, if you currently have an FTP account with us, those files will not be recovered on the new disk.

Update: Reinstall will be today!

Update 3: Aaaaaaand we’re back. New HDD installed, old HD was temporarily still in the system to recover all files, but that has now been removed.

Pros vs Pubs part II

A while ago we were the host of a ‘pros vs pubbers’ match, today there was another one.
