Last season I had to photoshop our way to 5th place, luckily this year, I’m pleased to say we’ve actually made it to 4th place on our own.

Two weeks ago we were calculating the points needed to stay in divi1ion 1. This week we calculated the points needed for second place.

Our last match against illegal was an exciting one. They, fighting to keep 2nd place, and us trying to knock them down a spot.

After FB winning the first map, we were unable to beat them on cp_freight, despite the Train’s best effort to help us. Taking 3 points from illegal, this still leaves us at spot #4,

It’s been a great season for us, with a new lineup and new tactics, but still the familiar rage of Exfane spurring us on.

This season of FB in ETF2L officials consisted of:

• Arie, that’s me, I kill things with an overpowered gun
• Cook, getting us started this season. Netting us 6 points vs LOL Team
• DrLeon, being an aggro soldier who reads the minds of his scouts
• Exfane, being the ultimate ‘Fragga syndrome’ pocket soldier and general rager/tactician
• Fisshu, my carrier/carried-one and awesomestestest scout buddy
• Looper, being a replacement for Byte isn’t easy. yet performed better than we’d ever hoped
• Mirelin, bughunter and perfect fit as new medic

So see you next season, maybe in the to-be-formed premiership division?

We recently found out about a mental defect in our soldier, Exfane. The diagnosis was made in our match against Dignitas on ctf_turbine. Score 2-2 with 20 seconds on the clock.

Exfane decides to attack (taking our trusty demo Looper with him), despite Dignitas pushing for our flagroom. We lost in overtime.

So there you have it folks, Exfane has no GameSense. Cook is working on it.

They interviewed Exfane.

In the interview an intoxicated Exfane spoils some FB state secrets, for which he will be executed.

As you may have noticed, we switched servers this week. We’re now on a shiny new quad-core machine. This means we can run more servers, STV relays and (private) Mumble servers.

The ‘old’ server is with us till the end of the year, so we have an even bigger shitload of bandwidth and server capacity than usual. If you’re in need for a server, ask around in #fakkelbrigade on Quakenet or contact us on Steam.

Last sunday, Exfane was finally sober enough to play the ETF2L cp_turris cup final against pingu.

Using all his skills, focus and GameSense(tm)(r) he needed over 9 minutes to make the final (3-0) capture.

After the match, Exfane told a reporter:

“This match was a lot tougher than the one against Shitnaz, really had to give it my all this time”

The match wasn’t played on FB server #1 (fakkelbrigade.eu:27015) but on the infamous ETF2L admin b0x (213.163.72.221:27015).

Pingu had this to say about the FB server #1:

Our bestest aggro soldier Exfane competed in the ETF2L soldier 1on1 cup.

We had high hopes for him, but all came crashing down last weekend when our favourite div1 soldier had to play a clanless shitnerd called ‘codcrille‘ (who was supposed to play scout for a div3 team in season 5 of ETF2L).

The final score, 30-15 to codcrille. Many excuses were made by the Insanus Exfanus, including: “I was shit, he pwned” and the all-time n00b’s favourite “server sucked”.
